US 283 END shield at the intersection with US 30 in Lexington. US 283 crosses over the Union Pacific tracks on a viaduct (and US 30 as well), then turns west and south to meet US 30. Therefore, you are you actually driving south at the north terminus of US 283. (This was such an amazing event for Mr. Sanderson that he felt the need to pose with his kids.) :-)
