This is a differnt intersection about a mile north of the junction in the previous photo. The arrows in the green mileage sign are long than those found on current signs; two different variants of the Nebraska shield are in use.

US 20/385 junction west of Chadron. I have never seen the direction signed in the arrow itself; was this a common occurance on Nebraska roads in the 1970s?
